The recommended kit for a marksman focuses on carrying longer magazines on a light, low-profile platform.

Longer magazines need a taller-backed pouch that supports the magazine along its full length and holds it with MXFriction lining rather than an extra flap. A pouch with a Kydex insert suits this when the magazine needs to lock in a fixed position and release in one consistent motion.

The carrying platform is chosen lighter and lower-profile, so movement and position changes are not hindered; laser-cut laminate gives an attachment surface without adding unnecessary weight. A card pouch and a drop pouch round out the set for small tools.
