The recommended kit for a signaller is built around carrying a radio set and the small items that go with it.
A radio set and its accessories need a secure but easily removable mount, so hook-and-loop and MOLLE-mounted pouches sized to the unit suit this role. Antenna and cable routing is left to the user, but the pouch's attachment row needs to stay clear so the cable can run tidily.
The rest of the carrying platform - a combat belt and a plate carrier - stays the same general platform as any other role, with a card pouch added for noting frequencies and callsigns, and a drop pouch for spare batteries or other small items.
