Machine-gunner
9 products
The recommended kit for a machine-gunner is built around carrying a heavier, bulkier ammunition load.
A heavier ammunition load needs more volume and a sturdier mounting surface than a single rifle-magazine pouch, so it makes sense to choose higher-capacity pouches and spread the load across several attachment surfaces. A back panel cut from laser-cut laminate holds its shape when loaded and does not stretch the attachment rows out of line.
The carrying platform - a combat belt and a plate carrier - manages the extra weight better when it is spread across the back, shoulders and waist rather than concentrated in one place. A drop pouch is used here for spare ammunition and other small items.
A role selection is our recommendation about equipment commonly used in that job. It is not a list of equipment issued, approved or required by any defence force, unit or authority.
